Where can Dermal Filler products be used?
Our line of Dermal Fillers offered includes Juvederm and Restylane. These products can be used individually to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds or laugh lines); lipstick lines (the area just below the nose and above the upper lip); the corners of the mouth; the marionette lines (the area that extends downward from the corners of the mouth to the jaw line). The safety and effectiveness of these products for the treatment of anatomic regions other than nasolabial folds have not been established in controlled clinical studies. Patients should be limited to 6.0 mL per treatment.
How often should I be treated?
Juvederm and Restylane injectable gel has been clinically proven to provide results that last up to 18 months, with only one follow-up treatment at either 4.5 or 9 months. Your healthcare professional can work with you to help you establish your maintenance regimen.
When will I see results?
All dermal fillers instantly add volume to help restore youthful contours, so you’ll see results immediately following your treatment.
How much Dermal Fillers will I need for full correction?
Due to the individual needs of each patient, it is important to discuss your full correction with your healthcare professional. However, in a clinical study where patients received full correction for their nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth) during initial treatment in the Juvederm and Restylane Regimen, the average volume was 2 to 3 mL per patient.
What should I tell my healthcare professional before having treatment with a dermal filler product?
You should tell your healthcare professional if you have previously suffered from facial cold sores. He or she may prescribe a medication to minimize recurrence. You should also tell him or her if you have recently used aspirin, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication, St. John’s wort, or high doses of vitamin E supplements. These agents may increase bruising and bleeding at the injection site.
What are some of the common side effects?
After your treatment, you may have some swelling, redness, pain, bruising, and tenderness. This will normally last less than several days.
